Welcome to Team Derby, the home of sport at the University of Derby.

Team Derby is the focal point for the development and delivery of sport here at the University and provides students, staff, and members of the public with a world of sporting opportunity, fitness and activity.

Our inclusive attitude to sport, exercise and health shows we believe passionately in the ethos of sport for all.

Still in its early stage, Team Derby is fast developing a strong reputation for increasing participation and raising the level of performance.

We believe that sport has a place for everyone - and whilst winning isn't everything, we believe that enjoyment is. We are proud to develop talent on and off the field, but value participation and getting involved just as much as we do trophies.

Our facilities are being developed to cater for students of all abilities, from students competing at national and regional level to those who have only a fledging interest in recreational sport, health and exercise.

Our commitment is to develop both performance and participation, and provide opportunities that will enable you to be involved in and enjoy sport at whatever level you choose.

Team Derby is the brand name for sport at the University of Derby. Team Derby is a collaboration between the University (both academic and support departments involved in the provision of sport) and the Athletic Union. The Athletic Union provides students with a number of services ranging from membership of a wide choice of sports clubs to playing representative sport for the University in national and regional competitions.
