Coaching Bursaries

Team Derby is keen to support individuals to gain relevant coach and official’s qualifications and help increase the number of students and staff participating and volunteering in sport.

The Team Derby Coaching Bursary scheme has been developed to support the development of our coaches and officials through subsidising the cost of coach and volunteer education

Funding is available to support coaches wishing to gain Level 1 and Level 2 sport specific National Governing Body (NGB) coaching qualifications. There is also additional support available to those who wish to gain more generic qualifications in leadership awards and generic courses (e.g. sports coach UK workshops) and refereeing/umpiring qualifications.
